Richmondshire Community Sitting Service
The sitting service is offered to people who live and care for a dependant relative in their own home. A volunteer will sit with a loved one whilst their carer has a welcome break. We will match you to a suitable volunteer who will sit with your relative whilst you have a break. This could be for between one to four hours.
Our sitting service coordinator will visit you at home by appointment to discuss the needs and preferences of both you and your relative. There is no charge to you for the service and visits would take place at a time and day that is agreeable to both parties.
You can either access the service direct by referral from Adult & Community Services or refer direct yourself by contacting the Sitting Service Coordinator.
Coordinator: Isobel Penman
For an informal discussion please contact Isobel directly on St John’s number or mobile: 07735977384 or alternatively
